Dwarf — Mood of Making
Sometimes the maker-voice does not ask — it takes the hands, and a dwarf comes back to himself a week later beside a thing he does not remember beginning.
A dwarf with this trait gains a +2 racial bonus on all Craft checks.
In addition, at the GM’s discretion (never on command) he is seized by a making-mood: he fixes single-mindedly on one project and one material the GM names, and will ignore hunger, danger, and reason to obtain it.
If he gathers the material and gets uninterrupted time to work, the result is always at least twice the nominal price of the materials.
However, if the mood is denied — materials withheld, the work broken, the dwarf hauled away — then the unspent making turns inward, and the dwarf is Shaken and takes an additional −2 penalty on all Craft checks for one week. For this week, he also increments Set once per day automatically, on top of any Set he might accrue normally, and he cannot clear Set during this week.
When a Mood of Making is completed successfully, the dwarf does not increment Set from for 1 year.
