Dwarf — Clay of the Forge-God
If the Dwarren had a weakness, it would be that they were so solid that even the crucible of experience could not change their shape. But the dwarves, lesser than the dwarren, are soft like clay, and can be adapted to whatever circumstance they find themselves in.
As an immediate action, a dwarf can choose to fail a saving throw (he must do this before attempting a save). Afterwards, he gains immunity against that specific effect, and +2 against related effects (GM discretion). This bonus lasts until the next time he uses this ability.
For example, a dwarf is stung by a scorpion. He chooses to fail his saving throw instead of attempting a save, and suffers the effects of a failed save as normal. When he makes another save against the scorpion’s venom, he has immunity to that venom and automatically succeeds. Even if he is later stung by a different scorpion with the same venom, he will still be immune. Later, he fights a giant spider. A giant spider’s venom is not the same as a scorpion’s venom, so the dwarf is not immune. However, since both are saves against poison, he would probably get a +2 circumstance bonus. He would continue to benefit from the immunity to scorpion venom and general bonus against venomous creatures until he used this ability again.
