Bunnies are peaceful, fluffy herbivores with long ears, short fur, and a renowned ability to jump. They spend their time grazing, stealing from vegetable gardens, and digging burrows. Some Bunnies can turn into a humanoid female with their signature ears, but this does not actually grant them any abilities or the ability to talk, and it is debated if this transformation is in fact an extremely powerful illusion. It is not known why only some Bunnies seem to be able to do this, nor why their humanoid form is always very well endowed.

Bunnies are not capable of speech and they do not appear to be faebeasts, but they are nonetheless possessed of some measure of intellect. They can be found in meadows and grasslands, dancing in circles while holding large hammers. Sometimes it is also possible to see them taking turns pounding grass in a clay or stone bowl of unknown provenance. There is nothing obviously magical about the grass or the bowl, and the Bunnies will cease either activity if they discover that they are being watched. Nobody has ever found a Bunny’s hammer or bowl unattended by a Bunny and there is serious debate as to whether the dances are also the result of an illusion created by the Bunnies or by another creature.

A Bunny can run away very quickly and has a fierce kick that can seriously injure foxes and the like, but when threatened it prefers to use the disintegrating beam it can emit from its eyes as self defense. The beam is quite powerful and can easily reduce a Man to ash. However, a Bunny will usually warn anyone nearby that it intends to disintegrate them by thumping loudly with its hind legs. In the event a Bunny cannot defend itself adequately or escape, it will scream loudly and summon a teleporting Great Coney to its side. Despite its awesome ability to slay Men and even bears, a Bunny is still comparable in size to a Man’s foot and is easily killed by an arrow.
