Le Gouffre de la Limace
A sinkhole in the wooded hills where the Great Slime keeps its den, feeding a small stream down toward the lowland waters. Clear enough most days — but when the Slime is fed, the stream turns a milky, sticky white with its digestive humours, and stays so until it thins back to plain water further along.
The white is harmless. It is also the very devil to scrub out of good linen, and the washerwomen downstream curse the Slime by name whenever it runs.
