Melodiana, Princess of the Scarlet Sundown in the court of Summer, is she of the last stand, the happy ending, the miraculous coincidence that changes everything. She is not worshipped because she asks for it, but because of her nature: for Summer is the season of triumph, the season of glories; Summer is the season where nothing ever, ever goes wrong.

But mortals, of course, do not live in the Season of Triumphs, and Summer ends every year though it was meant to last forever. A pouch of coin that is found must have been lost; a runaway daughter has a father; and the prince can only arrive in time for one. Who worships the Lady of Luck should know before all else — while hope is free, its fulfilment is dear indeed.
