A liminal deity of the First World, the god of wilderness, mountains, herds, borders, and the crossing of those borders. Fehúsan’s physical form is known, as he is lord of the Panii, the ultimate king of the untamed parts of the world, though he no longer appears in it. Fehúsan’s worshippers generally seek safe passage across the border, though a scant few seek to avoid that border entirely; mostly young women, and the occasional young man, who seeks to avoid crossing into the world of married adults. Fehúsan answers these later requests by spiriting them away into the wilderness where they live a life separate from all civilization and become Manaeds (if female) or Fauns (if male). Fehúsan also controls the borders between roads and the wilderness, and therefore crossroads, boundary markers, and road markers are all sacred to him. In particular many locations have traditions that passerby should help maintain those markers when they pass by lest Fehúsan blur the border and cause the travellers to become lost in lands untamed by mortalkind.
