Ever-Victorious, the Comparator, Who Grants Defeat, the Crown of Lies, She Who Makes Measures, First of Victors, the Devourer of Hope, the One Who Finds Wanting, the Keeper of the Narrow Gate

The Goddess of Victory itself and all it entails — which is surprisingly little of relevance to the mortal world. Almadelia is not the giver of victory, nor its judge. She will not — and thus, cannot — turn failure into success, defeat into victory, death into life, contempt into love. What she guarantees is that there will be a victory, even if it is only held by the goddess herself.

Her fundamental nature is Comparison: the act of asking not whether something you did was done well, but if someone else did it better. For though a thousand men must be worthy, there must be one who is most worthy; and therein is the madness of Almadelia, the Ever Victorious, who knows not the sting of defeat, for defeat was her invention.
